Bronze Conquistador-Styled "Slipper" Stirrup
$150.00Price
This is an antique bronze "slipper" stirrup from Colombia, and it has such an incredible history behind it.
It was made by Zalamea Hermanos in Bogota, likely in the late 1800s or early 1900s, and it’s stamped right on the bottom with the maker's mark. The design is based on the old 16th-century Conquistador styles, featuring a beautiful "sun face" motif and deep, swirling patterns in the metal.
The green patina is completely natural and gives it that perfect "found in a shipwreck" look. It’s heavy, solid, and makes a great conversation piece. We’ve seen people use these as unique planters for succulents or even as a heavy doorstop or match holder for a fireplace.
